Catching Up with Connor

Connor is such the All Around Athlete...! He just finished football season where he was the starting quarterback for his team... He's shown here in this photo playing basketball with Elijah... He just played his first game of the season last night... The team lost but he played very well. I'm proud of him for exploring his athletic talents...!

Here's Connor practicing his serve at our Holiday Tennis Camp last week. He has a great talent for tennis. I personally think that's his best sport, but I might be just a little biased...

The Connor Report October... Football season continues to go well. Connor plays mostly quarterback for his team but wishes he could play defense a little more so he could hit and tackle people... He's doing well academically and is a member of the National Junior Honor Society for his grade point average...!

Connor Update...

Sorry I don't have a current photo to publish today but I am happy to report that for his academic excellence, Connor is now a member of the National Junior Honor Society.

Also, I am pleased to report that Connor won his tennis tournament this past weekend.

And... This past Tuesday he played quarterback for his school team the entire game and they won by two touchdowns...

Unfortunately he missed school Wednesday because he was feeling sick and had a bit of a fever, but over all it's been a great week for Connor...!

About a year ago....

Here's a photo taken of Connor at about this time last year in 2005. He's about six inches taller now..! Wow... What a huge change a year can bring.... Tomorrow I'll publish a very recent photo of Connor for comparison...

Connor Update: He didn't play much in the football game last night and the team barely lost in the last 7 seconds... I think if they would have given Connor more game tiume then they would have won...

Playing with the Boo Boo

We all enjoy playing with Elijah. But I think Elijah enjoys playing with Connor the most. They really seem to have a special relationship. I'm glad for both of them to have each other.

The Quick Connor Report: He's having a good eighth grade year. His grades are fantastic. He's the quarterback for the football team. And his tennis is improving...

Hopefully we'll get some photos of his football season posted soon. He's currently in the second week of an eight week season. Last week his team tied 6-6 in a very wet, rainy game. Today the weather should be a lot nicer...

We went to Wharton for Mother's day. After a delicious lunch we went to the riverside park and played on the playground. Connor and Elijah had a great time...!

The Connor Report: Connor is still doing great in school... His tennis is good... And he's starting to earn extra money with a part time job helping me at the tennis shop...! He's getting tall. He stands taller than his mom and I now. I would also like to report that he did get a hair cut yesterday...! I'll try to publish a fresh hair cut photo tomorrow!

Bad Hair Days for the Boys

Here's Connor and Elijah right after they awakened during our trip to Corpus Christi a few weeks ago. Although Connor has defended that his uncombed hair is a legitimate style these days, he's recently expressed the desire to get it cut short again... Praise the Lord!

I can't remember if this was a morning photo or Connor just didn't want his photo taken...! It was taken sometime in March, 2006. One of Connor's favorite pastimes after tennis and basketball is laying on the couch...!
